Curriculum overview
There is a lot of detail about our curriculum in this section of the website, including the content of our curriculum in each academic year for every subject; curriculum content plans; progression of knowledge and skills plans; and some subject-specific webpages with additional detail and helpful links.
If parents would like to find out more about the curriculum our school is following, they should make an enquiry with their child's class teacher in the first instance, via the school office on 01245 472391 or parent.support@baddowhall-jun.essex.sch.uk. This includes the option to view curriculum materials.
Members of the public can find out more by emailing admin@baddowhall-jun.essex.sch.uk
Curriculum Plan Rationale
Religious Education and Collective Worship
As a local authority maintained school, we follow the locally agreed syllabus published by Essex SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education). The RE syllabus is relevant to all pupils and respects their own personal beliefs and those without any religious belief. However, parents have a right to withdraw their child, wholly or partly, from:
- Receiving religious education (RE) given in the school in accordance with the school’s basic curriculum
- Attendance at collective worship in the school
If a parent is intending to make this request, we would first like the opportunity to discuss the RE curriculum and/or collective worship with them, so they can make an informed decision. Please ask to speak with the Headteacher, Mr McIntosh.
